| Pixel 7 Pro vs iphone 14 Pro Max - Camera Review |
so in our last camera comparison the pixel 6 Pro defeated the iPhone 14 pro in outdoor photos daytime video and a couple of more tests. so the question now is can the pixel 7 Pro defeat the iPhone in even more cases well we have 32 tests to find out or on the pixel 7 Pro versus.
the iPhone 14 Pro's cameras right after this if you just got your new pixel 702 are launching a great New Plan called switch up which gives customers. the freedom to change their current phone for a newer one anytime they like there are no limits.
on how long you need to have a phone for and it's included automatically on o2s Plus plans or you can add it as a bolt-on for just 3.99 pounds a month and now back to the video starting off with his first outdoor shots.
you can see that the HR processing is much better on the pixel the sky is blown out on the iPhone and because the pixel has a perfectly exposed image it is also darker than the iPhone is the iPhone however is a bit Sharp Harper.
if you take a look at a tree on the left but other than that the pixel has a much nicer image taking a look at this second outer shot here I would say they're almost identical the pixel is a bit more vibrant than the iPhone and if you take a look at the grass.
the tree they're also sharper uh so yeah overall the pixel is superior but the iPhone isn't that bad here but the thing is the pixel. sometimes can mess up very very badly. so if we take a look at this next shot the house is very noisy in the shadowy area.
HDR Processing
the iPhone is also much sharper if you take a look at the top of the building however the pixel does have slightly better HDR processing if you take a look at the right hand side okay. next up we tested raw performance on both of these phones so we took a rough photo and then I edited both to make them look as good as possible.
here they're actually very similar in terms of detail the iPhone is less noisy on the tree on the left and if you take a look at the benches the iPhone does have significantly more detail because of that 48 megapixel resolution versus 12.5 on the pixel 7 Pro.
50 Megapixel
even though the pixel 7 Pro has a 50 megapixel sensor this is permanently bent to 12.5 so overall the iPhone takes this one but I'm sure the dynamic range they're both very very similar now let's take a look at some indoor shots so here the pixel 7 easily.
I mean easily takes this one take a look at the HDR processing the window is blown out on the iPhone whereas on the pixel it is perfectly exposed the pixel is also more vibrant. we do have more Shadow detail as well on the pixel.
however the iPhone's deep Fusion does actually seem to work here if you take a look at the texture on the chairs and the armchair in the front and the benches they're all notably sharper on the iPhone than on the pixel and then we have one more in their shot inside the York Minster Cathedral.
take a look at the massive difference in HR processing so the window is just fully blown out on the iPhone whereas the pixel has significantly more detail the iPhone is sharper though if you take a look at the text.
so once you zoom in you can kind of read it whereas on the pixel not so much so yeah we can see this trend continuing the iPhone being sharper and the pixel having much better HDR processing taking a look at macro mode.
the pixel 7 Pro now has it too however when compared to the 14 Pros macro the 14 Pros is still significantly more detailed 7 Pro is still a good macro but it just cannot compete with the iPhone here moving on to the zoom tests.
we're gonna test 2x Zoom first and that's because this actually works in the same way on both as in they're simply cropping in on that large sensor however if we take a look at the images the iPhone is much better it is not totally sharper.
if you take a look at Ren and her fur so uh yeah the iPhone has a noticeably better 2x Zoom but then taking a look at the 5x Zoom I gotta say this is surprisingly good on both considering that the iPhone is using that 3x optical zoom lens.
then zooming in digitally whereas the pixel is using the 5x optical zoom lens so yeah the pixel let's have more detail if you take a look at the pair and the leaves also have more detail but I gotta say the iPhone is still very impressive for a 3X Zoom module overall of course.

10x Zoom
the pixel takes this one so what about 10x Zoom well here there's of course a major difference between the two the iPhone did okay but a pixel did noticeably better uh even better I would say than that 2x difference between the two optical zoom modules like I'm so impressed with the pixel.
the detail on the steel beams that the fence Grill is visible on the pixel whereas on the iPhone it is completely missing so yeah Google you have an awesome awesome Zoom.
how this Stacks up against the s22 Ultras 10x Zoo module then we tested the ultroid module and here the iPhone used to be wider in the past compared to the pixel 6 Pro but now they look about the same the pixels have much better processing.
if you take a look at the Shadows they're also brighter the sky is perfectly exposed and the image is a more vibrant than on the iPhone and the pixel is also more detail if you take a look at the brickwork on the house in the second ultraight shot.
the field of view is about the same but once again the pixel is more detailed the iPhone sharpened in post a bit too much and the pixel is just naturally more detailed on the right hand side of this bush here so now let's see how the ultright module behaves indoors and I gotta say they're very very similar the iPhone is actually less noisy probably.
because of the larger ultroid sensor but the pixel has considerably better HDR processing moving on to video where the iPhone used to be the king but the pixel 6 Pro actually dethroned it in our last camera comparison here it's actually pretty good on both the Shadows are a bit brighter on the iPhone.
I gotta say it kind of looks fake but at the same time it also offers you more detail like you can see the mud you can see the Rocks. so yeah more detail on the iPhone the iPhone is also slightly sharper.
4k60 Video
then the pixel retains slightly more highlight details if you take a look at a sun and clouds one pretty important thing that I want to mention here is that the pixel can actually switch between all lenses when you're recording 4k60 video.
which the iPhone cannot do you can only do that in 4k 30. so that's a huge Plus for the pixel and a major downside for the iPhone and now we're testing Ultra wide video and here the iPhone is noticeably wider interesting enough.
so the pixel actually punches in quite a lot when you're doing video with that ultroid lens the iPhone is also sharper but then the pixel has better HR processing you can see more Shadow detail that depicts a little so brighter.
more vibrant but at the same time I feel like when you're doing ultroid video you're doing that because you want to capture the most amount of stuff in the scene so because of that I would say the iPhone takes it.
just because it is considerably wider now when it comes to action mode which is present on both phones this was surprisingly good on the pixel as well it was very stable it wasn't quite as stable as the iPhone.
but very close however the base difference was the resolution so 2.8 K 60 on the iPhone compared to just 1080p 30 on the pixel and because of that the pixel was notably softer especially when you pause the videos also a few times throughout the video and especially towards.
the end the pixel lost Focus pretty badly so yeah the iPhone does have a much better action mode overall now in terms of cinematic mode which the pixel now has as well uh there was a pretty noticeable difference.
so interested resolutions the pixel is capped at 1080p 24 frames per second compared to 4k30 on the iPhone so pretty big difference here in terms of the overall sharpness and the pixel was a bit too blurry The Edge detection was fairly good on both had slightly better on the iPhone.
but because of that low resolution like I said the pixel just looked soft and uh yeah it just didn't look as good as the iPhone especially when you paused the videos now when it comes to portrait mode the iPhone uses the 3x optical zoom lens whereas the pixel.
punches in twice digitally on the main sensor and if you take a look at this shots yeah there is a night and day difference between the two the pixel is just so poor. when it comes to detail there's also almost no background blur I mean I'm not saying that the iPhone is perfect. so this is it. thankyou for reading this artical and share with your friends.
